This guy is an underrated player in the grandest tradition of stoic, easily ignored bassists. Valory was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of Journey in 2017 during a ceremony that was marred by the failure of Steve Perry to actually sing with the band, though his speech accepting the honor was awesome.
Here’s a straight, untreated photo of Valory, who has since been fired from the band for the second time. Keyboardist Jonathan Cain and some other sideman are visible in the background.
I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was good.

Hey there excellent blog! Does running a blog such as
this take a large amount of work? I’ve virtually no knowledge
of computer programming but I was hoping to start
my own blog soon. Anyway, if you have any recommendations or techniques for new
blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject nevertheless I simply needed to ask.
Thank you!
