Good news for the books and the people who stubbornly refuse to stop loving them. Our sister site Book and Film Globe has launched a new feature—the author interview. This is your home for thoughtful, honest conversations between writers and those who value writing.
In the first edition of this new feature, Ayun Halliday speaks with author Jean Hanff Korelitz about her new book The Plot. Stephen King said, “I think Jean Hanff Korelitz’s The Plot is one of the best novels I’ve ever read about writers and writing. It’s also insanely readable and terrifying. The suspense quotient is through the roof…It’s remarkable.” The Washington Post wrote, “The plot of ‘The Plot’ ― the best thriller of the year (so far) ― is too good to give away.”
Korelitz is also the author of You Should Have Known, which HBO adapted into the miniseries The Undoing.
Halliday is herself the author of a bunch of books, including The Big Rumpus and the ROFL-packed No Touch Monkey! (“Oh, the motorcycle rides I’d have taken with the boy I met at the hostel/on the train/on the steps of the Trevi Fountain: the crazy northern Italian, the adorably sarcastic Welshman, the passionate Greek, the artsy Belgian, the handsome Spaniard whose doctor had given him just two months to live!” Halliday is the creator of East Village Inky, the 2002 Firecracker Alternative Book Award Winner for Best Zine.
